The “Shavim Lachaim” (Returning to Life) project by the “Lehosheet Yad” association was created to provide these children and families with the support they so desperately need.
We embrace the children who were rescued from Hamas captivity and their families.
Each child who survived captivity carries a story of unimaginable bravery. Each family bears an indescribable burden of pain. Our role is to extend a helping hand and offer hope.
The “Shavim Lachaim” project was born to write the next chapter in their stories—a chapter of healing and renewal, of love and generosity.
What began as a one-time gathering quickly became something much bigger. From the very first moment, these children and families touched our hearts, and we immediately knew—we would not leave them to face this alone.
They have endured immense suffering and traumatic experiences, carrying deep scars that cannot always be seen beneath their sweet smiles and seemingly healthy bodies. Yet, these scars exist, and there is no certainty that they will ever fully fade.
At “Lehosheet Yad”, we have committed ourselves to a special project aimed at guiding them on their journey to recovery and equipping them with the tools to cope with the new reality that has been forced upon them.
The rehabilitation process is long and requires comprehensive psychological, emotional, and financial support. We are here to ensure that they receive the care they need at every step of the way.
These children are our children. These families are our families. We have made it our mission to restore the childhood they lost, and in doing so, we have all become one big family.
