“Shavim Lachaim” Ski Vacation – Bulgaria

As part of the “Shavim Lachaim” project, we took 25 children and teenagers who survived Hamas captivity on an unforgettable ski vacation in Bulgaria. These children, who have endured an incredibly difficult and turbulent period, had the opportunity to experience a few days of peace, joy, and relaxation amidst the stunning snowy mountains of Bansko.
The trip included personalized ski lessons led by professional instructors who provided each child with the individual attention and care they deserved. The children enjoyed free time playing in the snow, admiring the breathtaking views, and reconnecting with the simple joys of life. In addition, we organized engaging social activities that filled the afternoons with laughter and bonding, while the shared dinnrs became a time to share stories, enjoy companionship, and create lasting memories with both new and old friends.
Beyond skiing, the children also had the chance to experience horseback riding, snowmobile and ATV adventures, as well as moments of relaxation together in the hotel’s spa and swimming pool.
This vacation was not just about skiing—it was about hope, renewal, and the chance to feel like kids again.
For many of the participants, this was a significant step forward in their healing journey, helping them rebuild their self-confidence and rediscover their joy for life.
