“Shavim Lachaim” Children and Dany Cushmaro Conquer the Peaks of Bulgaria

Dany Cushmaro joined us and the children of “Shavim Lachaim” on a healing ski journey in Bulgaria.
Twenty-five children and teenagers who survived Hamas captivity embarked on a special ski trip, designed to help them momentarily disconnect from their painful reality, breathe in the mountain air, and experience a few moments of normal childhood.

The feature aired on Ulpan Shishi reveals powerful and emotional moments—children who have endured ups and downs shared their long journey since returning, speaking about their struggles, fears, pain, and longing, but also about their hopes and wishes for the future. Between skiing in the snow, horseback riding, snowmobile excursions, and bonding evenings with friends, they were able to enjoy a few days of true freedom.
